🐾 The Shelby/River Puppies Are Here! 🐾

We’re so excited to share that Shelby and River’s litter has arrived! Shelby did great and is resting comfortably with her new babies. She delivered six beautiful puppies on October 9th… four boys and two girls… and everyone is doing well so far.

🐾 What to Expect Next

Starting Friday, October 17th, we’ll begin sending out weekly pupdates and videos every Friday so you can follow along as the puppies grow and develop each week. These updates will be shared right here on the blog. * Please note that we do not send out weekly emails so make sure to check the blog every Friday. Of course, if you have any questions feel free to reach out at anytime!

Here’s what’s ahead…

  • Weekly pupdates and videos every Friday starting October 17th

  • The picking process will begin once the puppies are 6 weeks old and will go in the order deposits were received

  • When they reach 6 weeks, our photographer will visit to take individual photos of each puppy… we’ll share those on the blog too

  • Before the puppies go home, we’ll post their daily schedule to help make the transition smoother

  • Going home day will be December 4th, when the puppies are 8 weeks old

  • Puppies will receive their first round of vaccines at 6 weeks and will be ready for their second round at 9 weeks

All Southland Goldens puppies go through ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI (Early Scent Introduction) exercises from days 3–16. There’s a separate blog post that explains what these are and why they’re so beneficial… be sure to check it out.

🏡 Getting Ready for Your Puppy

These next eight weeks are going to fly by… Be sure to visit our Supply Recommendations page to get a head start on everything you’ll need for your new puppy. A quick reminder… the food we feed can only be ordered online, so don’t wait too long to place your order.

Now for the moment we’ve all been waiting for…it’s time to MEET THE PUPPIES!!

The boys are Mr. Brown, Mr. Black, Mr. Blue, and Mr. Green… and the girls are Ms. Pink and Ms. No Collar. Our petite girl (Ms. No Collar) is quite a bit smaller than her siblings, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on her over the next few weeks to make sure she’s nursing well and getting stronger. She’s a tough little one and we’ll continue to give her all the extra love and care she needs.

Each puppy has their color collar (except for our tiny girl)… and they’ll keep those same colors until they go home.
